Reading guide: Capitalized syllables receive the stress. Scholarly transliteration marks long vowels with ē and ō, rough breathing with h, and iota subscript with a final i. The pronunciation line gives an accessible ecclesiastical-Greek approximation; dh is the sound of th in “this,” gh is a softened guttural g, kh is a stronger breathy sound, and r is lightly rolled.
