How Can You Love the Son and Hate His Mother?

They admit Jesus Christ, but they despise His mother. They admit the Holy Scriptures, but they are blind when these scriptures glorify her as the Theotokos, the Mother of God. They smash icons of her; they blaspheme her greater than they blaspheme the enemies of God. They are so lost in their own subjective interpretations of scripture that they come to such erroneous conclusions as this: “She’s so insignificant that the Bible speaks of her a few times.”

They beat our Lord; why now do you do the same to His mother? They spit in the face of our Lord; why now do you do the same to His mother? They scourged our Lord; why now do you do the same to His mother?

If you admit that Jesus Christ is God, but you are so far gone as to make His mother weep like she weeped when they killed her Son, you are no better than a pagan. Do not ever deceive yourself: if you claim to love Jesus Christ but hate His mother, you are no better than a heathen dog. You die in the midst of smashing her statues, spitting on her icons, blaspheming her holy name. You will be judged; become a Christian, because what you are right now is worse than those who worship demons. At least they are honest with themselves, but you claim to follow Christ; but you are like the one who charged Him and ordered Him tortured and crucified.

Come to Christ and repent of your blasphemies; you do not know the day or hour. Amen.
