1Now the sons of Israel according to their number, heads of families, captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, and scribes ministering to the king, and for every affair of the king according to their divisions, for every ordinance of coming in and going out monthly, for all the months of the year, one division of them was twenty-four thousand.Καὶ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ κατὰ ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν, χιλίαρχοι καὶ ἑκατόνταρχοι, καὶ γραμματεῖς οἱ λειτουργοῦντες τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ εἰς πᾶν λόγον τοῦ βασιλέως κατὰ διαιρέσεις, πᾶν λόγον τοῦ εἰσπορευομένου καὶ ἐκπορευομένου μῆνα ἐκ μηνὸς, εἰς πάντας τοὺς μῆνας τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ, διαίρεσις μία εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
2And over the first division of the first month was Isboaz the son of Zabdiel: in his division were twenty-four thousand.Καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως τῆς πρώτης τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου, Ἰσβοὰζ ὁ τοῦ Ζαβδιὴλ, ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες·
3Of the sons of Tharez one was chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.Ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Φαρὲς, ἄρχων πάντων τῶν ἀρχόντων τῆς δυνάμεως τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου.
4And over the division of the second month was Dodia the son of Ecchoc, and over his division was Makelloth also chief: and in his division were twenty and four thousand, chief men of the host.Καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ δευτέρου Δωδία ὁ Ἐκχὼκ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ, καὶ Μακελλὼθ ὁ ἡγούμενος, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες ἄρχοντες δυνάμεως.
5The third for the third month was Banaias the son of Jodae the chief priest: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ τρίτος τὸν μῆνα τὸν τρίτον Βαναίας ὁ τοῦ Ἰωδαὲ ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ ἄρχων, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
6This Banaeas was more mighty than the thirty, and over the thirty: and Zabad his son was over his division.Αὐτὸς Βαναίας ὁ δυνατώτερος τῶν τριάκοντα καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν τριάκοντα· καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ Ζαβὰδ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ.
7The fourth for the fourth month was Asael the brother of Joab, and Zabadias his son, and his brethren: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ τέταρτος εἰς τὸν μῆνα τὸν τέταρτον Ἀσαὴλ ὁ ἀδελφὸς Ἰωὰβ, καὶ Ζαβαδίας υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
8The fifth chief for the fifth month was Samaoth the Jezraite: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ πέμπτος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πέμπτῳ ὁ ἡγούμενος Σαμαὼθ ὁ Ἰεσραὲ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
9The sixth for the sixth month was Hoduias the son of Ekkes the Thecoite: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ ἕκτος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἕκτῳ Ὁδουίας ὁ τοῦ Ἐκκῆς ὁ Θεκωΐτης, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
10The seventh for the seventh month was Chelles of Phallus of the children of Ephraim: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ ἕβδομος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἐβδόμῳ Χελλὴς ὁ ἐκ Φαλλοῦς ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ἐφραὶμ, καὶ ἑπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
11The eighth for the eighth month was Sobochai the Usathite, belonging to Zarai: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ ὄγδοος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ὀγδόῳ Σοβοχαῒ ὁ Οὐσαθὶ τῷ Ζαραῒ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
12The ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer of Anathoth, of the land of Benjamin: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ ἔννατος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἐννάτῳ Ἀβιέζερ ὁ ἐξ Ἀναθὼθ ὁ ἐκ γῆς Βενιαμὶν, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ τέσσαρες καὶ εἴκοσι χιλιάδες.
13The tenth for the tenth month was Meera the Netophathite, belonging to Zarai: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ δέκατος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δεκάτῳ Μεηρὰ ὁ ἐκ Νετωφαθὶ τῷ Ζαραῒ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
14The eleventh for the eleventh month was Banaias of Pharathon, of the sons of Ephraim: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ ἑνδέκατος τῷ μηνὶ τῷ ἑνδεκάτῳ Βαναίας ὁ ἐκ Φαραθὼν ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ἐφραὶμ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
15The twelfth for the twelfth month was Choldia the Netophathite, belonging to Gothoniel: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.Ὁ δωδέκατος εἰς τὸν μῆνα τὸν δωδέκατον Χολδία ὁ ἐκ Νετωφαθὶ τῷ Γοθονιὴλ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς διαιρέσεως αὐτοῦ εἴκοσι καὶ τέσσαρες χιλιάδες.
16And over the tribes of Israel, the chief for Ruben was Eliezer the son of Zechri: for Symeon, Saphatias the son of Maacha:Καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν φυλῶν Ἰσραὴλ, τῷ Ῥουβὴν ἡγούμενος Ἐλιέζερ ὁ τοῦ Ζεχρί· τῷ Συμεὼν, Σαφατίας ὁ τοῦ Μααχά.
17for Levi, Asabias the son of Camuel: for Aaron, Sadoc:Τῷ Λευὶ, Ἀσαβίας ὁ τοῦ Καμουήλ· τῷ Ἀαρὼν, Σαδώκ.
18for Juda, Eliab of the brethren of David: for Issachar, Ambri the son of Michael:Τῷ Ἰούδα, Ἐλιὰβ τῶν ἀδελφῶν Δαυίδ· τῷ Ἰσσάχαρ, Ἀμβρὶ ὁ τοῦ Μιχαήλ.
19for Zabulon, Samaeas the son of Abdiu: for Nephthali, Jerimoth the son of Oziel:Τῷ Ζαβουλὼν, Σαμαΐας ὁ τοῦ Ἀβδίου· τῷ Νεφθαλὶ, Ἰεριμὼθ ὁ τοῦ Ὀζιήλ.
20for Ephraim, Ose the son of Ozia: for the half-tribe of Manasse, Joel the son of Phadaea:Τῷ Ἐφραὶμ, Ὠσὴ ὁ τοῦ Ὀζίου· τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασσῆ, Ἰωὴλ υἱὸς Φαδαΐα.
21for the half-tribe of Manasse in the land of Galaad, Jadai the son of Zadaeas, for the sons of Benjamin, Jasiel the son of Abenner:Τῷ ἡμίσει φυλῆς Μανασσῆ τῷ ἐν γῇ Γαλαὰδ, Ἰαδαῒ ὁ τοῦ Ζαδαίου· τοῖς υἱοῖς Βενιαμὶν, Ἰασιὴλ ὁ τοῦ Ἀβεννήρ.
22for Dan, Azariel the son of Iroab: these are the chiefs of the tribes of Israel.Τῷ Δὰν, Ἀζαριὴλ ὁ τοῦ Ἰρωάβ· οὗτοι πατριάρχαι τῶν φυλῶν Ἰσραήλ.
23But David took not their number from twenty years old and under: because the Lord said that he would multiply Israel as the stars of the heaven.Καὶ οὐκ ἔλαβε Δαυὶδ τὸν ἀριθμὸν αὐτῶν ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ κάτω, ὅτι εἶπε Κύριος πληθῦναι τὸν Ἰσραὴλ ὡς τοὺς ἀστέρας τοῦ οὐρανοῦ.
24And Joab the son of Saruia began to number the people, and did not finish the work, for there was hereupon wrath on Israel; and the number was not recorded in the book of the chronicles of king David.Καὶ Ἰωὰβ ὁ τοῦ Σαρουία ἤρξατο ἀριθμεῖν ἐν τῷ λαῷ, καὶ οὐ συνετέλεσε· καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τούτοις ὀργὴ ἐπὶ Ἰσραήλ· καὶ οὐ κατεχωρίσθη ὁ ἀριθμὸς ἐν βιβλίῳ λόγων τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῦ βασιλέως Δαυίδ.
25And over the king's treasures was Asmoth the son of Odiel; and over the treasures in the country, and in the towns, and in the villages, and in the towers, was Jonathan the son of Ozia.Καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θησαυρῶν τοῦ βασιλέως, Ἀσμὼθ ὁ τοῦ Ὀδιὴλ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θησαυρῶν τῶν ἐν ἀγρῷ καὶ ἐν ταῖς κώμαις καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἐποικίοις καὶ ἐν τοῖς πύργοις, Ἰωνάθαν ὁ τοῦ Ὀζίου.
26And over the husbandmen who tilled the ground was Esdri the son of Chelub.Καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν γεωργούντων τὴν γῆν τῶν ἐργαζομένων, Ἐσδρὶ ὁ τοῦ Χελούβ.
27And over the fields was Semei of Rael; and over the treasures of wine in the fields was Zabdi the son of Sephni.Καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν χωρίων, Σεμεῒ ὁ ἐκ Ῥαὴλ, καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θησαυρῶν τῶν ἐν τοῖς χωρίοις τοῦ οἴνου, Ζαβδὶ ὁ τοῦ Σεφνί.
28And over the olive yards, and over the sycamores in the plain country was Ballanan the Gedorite; and over the stores of oil was Joas.Καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν ἐλαιώνων, καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν συκαμίνων τῶν ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ, Βαλλανὰν ὁ Γεδωρίτης· ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν θησαυρῶν τοῦ ἐλαίου, Ἰωάς.
29And over the oxen pasturing in Saron was Satrai the Saronite; and over the oxen in the valleys was Sophat the son of Adli.Καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν βοῶν τῶν νομάδων τῶν ἐν τῷ Σαρὼν, Σατραῒ ὁ Σαρωνίτης· καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν βοῶν τῶν ἐν τοῖς αὐλῶσι, Σωφὰτ, ὁ τοῦ Ἀδλί·
30And over the camels was Abias the Ismaelite; and over the asses was Jadias of Merathon.Ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν καμήλων, Ἀβίας ὁ Ἰσμαηλίτης· ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν ὄνων, Ἰαδίας ὁ ἐκ Μεραθών.
31And over the sheep was Jaziz the Agarite. All these were superintendents of the substance of king David.Καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν προβάτων, Ἰαζὶζ ὁ Ἀγαρίτης· πάντες οὗτοι προστάται ὑπαρχόντων Δαυὶδ τοῦ βασιλέως.
32And Jonathan, David's uncle by the father's side, was a counsellor, a wise man: and Jeel the son of Achami was with the king's sons.Καὶ Ἰωνάθαν ὁ πατράδελφος Δαυὶδ σύμβουλος, ἄνθρωπος συνετός· καὶ Ἰεὴλ ὁ τοῦ Ἀχαμὶ μετὰ τῶν υἱῶν τοῦ βασιλέως.
33Achitophel was the king's counsellor: and Chusi the chief friend of the king.Ἀχιτόφελ σύμβουλος τοῦ βασιλέως, καὶ Χουσὶ ὁ πρῶτος φίλος τοῦ βασιλέως·
34And after this Achitophel Jodae the son of Banaeas came next, and Abiathar: and Joab was the king's commander-in-chief.Καὶ μετὰ τοῦτον Ἀχιτόφελ ἐχόμενος Ἰωδαὲ ὁ τοῦ Βαναίου, καὶ Ἀβιάθαρ· καὶ Ἰωὰβ ἀρχιστράτηγος τοῦ βασιλέως.
