1 Chronicles 9

1And this is all Israel, even their enrolment: and these are written down in the book of the kings of Israel and Juda, with the names of them that were carried away to Babylon for their transgressions.Καὶ πᾶς Ἰσραὴλ ὁ συλλοχισμὸς αὐτῶν· καὶ οὗτοι καταγεγραμμένοι ἐν βιβλίῳ τῶν βασιλέων Ἰσραὴλ καὶ Ἰούδα, μετὰ τῶν ἀποικισθέντων εἰς Βαβυλῶνα ἐν ταῖς ἀνομίαις αὐτῶν,

2And they that lived before in their possessions in the cities of Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the appointed ones.καὶ οἱ κατοικοῦντες πρότερον ἐν ταῖς κατασχέσεσιν αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν Ἰσραὴλ, οἱ ἱερεῖς, οἱ Λευῖται, καὶ οἱ δεδομένοι.

3And there lived in Jerusalem some of the children of Juda, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasse.Καὶ ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ κατῴκησαν ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ἰούδα, καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμὶν, καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν Ἐφραῒμ, καὶ Μανασσῆ.

4And Gnothi, and the son of Samiud, the son of Amri, the son of Ambraim, the son of Buni, son of the sons of Phares, the son of Juda.Καὶ Γνωθὶ, καὶ υἱὸς Σαμιοὺδ, υἱοῦ Ἀμρὶ, υἱοῦ Ἀμβραῒμ, υἱοῦ Βουνὶ, υἱοῦ υἱῶν Φαρὲς, υἱοῦ Ἰούδα.

5And of the Selonites; Asaia his firstborn, and his sons.Καὶ ἐκ τῶν Σηλωνὶ, Ἀσαΐα πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὁ ὑοὶ αὐτοῦ.

6Of the sons of Zara; Jeel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.Ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Ζαρὰ, Ἰεὴλ, καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἑξακόσιοι καὶ ἐννενήκοντα.

7And of the sons of Benjamin; Salom, son of Mosollam, son of Odouia, son of Asinu.Καὶ ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμὶν Σαλὼμ υἱὸς Μοσλλὰμ, υἱοῦ Ὠδουΐα, υἱοῦ Ἀσινοῦ,

8And Jemnaa son of Jeroboam, and Elo: these are the sons of Ozi the son of Machir: and Mosollam, son of Saphatia, son of Raguel, son of Jemnai;καὶ Ἰεμναὰ υἱὸς Ἱεροβοὰμ, καὶ Ἠλώ· οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ὀζὶ υἱοῦ Μαχίρ· καὶ Μοσολλὰμ υἱὸς Σαφατία, υἱοῦ Ῥαγουὴλ, υἱοῦ Ἰεμναῒ,

9and their brethren according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six, all the men were heads of families according to the houses of their fathers.καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν ἐννακόσιοι πεντηκονταὲξ, πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες ἄρχοντες πατριῶν κατʼ οἴκους πατριῶν αὐτῶν.

10And of the priests; Jodae, and Joarim, and Jachin,Καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἱερέων, Ἰωδαὲ, καὶ Ἰωαρὶμ, καὶ Ἰαχὶν,

11and Azaria the son of Chelcias, the son of Mosollam, the son of Sadoc, the son of Maraioth, the son of Achitob, the ruler of the house of God;καὶ Ἀζαρία υἱὸς Χελκία υἱοῦ Μοσολλὰμ, υἱοῦ Σαδὼκ, υἱοῦ Μαραϊὼθ, υἱοῦ Ἀχιτὼβ ἡγουμένου οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ,

12and Adaia son of Iraam, son of Phascor, son of Melchia, and Maasaia son of Adiel, son of Ezira, son of Mosollam, son of Maselmoth, son of Emmer;καὶ Ἀδαΐα υἱὸς Ἰραὰμ, υἱοῦ Φασχὼρ, υἱοῦ Μελχία, καὶ Μαασαία υἱὸς Ἀδιὴλ, υἱοῦ Ἐζιρὰ, υἱοῦ Μοσολλὰμ, υἱοῦ Μασελμὼθ, υἱοῦ Ἐμμὴρ,

13and their brethren, chiefs of their families, a thousand seven hundred and sixty, mighty men for the work of the ministration of the house of God.καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἄρχοντες οἴκων πατριῶν αὐτῶν, χίλιοι καὶ ἑπτακόσιοι καὶ ἑξήκοντα, ἰσχυροὶ δυνάμει εἰς ἐργασίαν λειτουργίας οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ.

14And of the Levites; Samaia son of Asob, son of Ezricam, son of Asabia, of the sons of Merari.Καὶ ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν, Σαμαΐα υἱὸς Ἀσὼβ, υἱοῦ Ἐζρικὰμ, υἱοῦ Ἀσαβία, ἐκ τῶν υἱῶν Μεραρί.

15And Bacbacar, and Ares, and Galaal, and Matthanias son of Micha, son of Zechri, son of Asaph;Καὶ Βακβακὰρ, καὶ Ἀρὴς, καὶ Γαλαὰλ, καὶ Ματθανίας υἱὸς Μιχὰ, υἱοῦ Ζεχρὶ, υἱοῦ Ἀσάφ.

16and Abdia, son of Samia, son of Galaal, son of Idithun, and Barachia son of Ossa, son of Helcana—who lived in the villages of the Notephatites.Καὶ Ἀβδία υἱὸς Σαμία, υἱοῦ Γαλαὰλ, υἱοῦ Ἰδιθοὺν, καὶ Βαραχία υἱὸς Ὀσσὰ, υἱοῦ Ἑλκανὰ, ὁ κατοικῶν ἐν ταῖς κώμαις Νωτεφατί.

17The doorkeepers; Salom, Acum, Telmon, and Diman, and their brethren; Salom was the chief;Οἱ πυλωροὶ, Σαλὼμ, Ἀκοὺμ, Τελμὼν, καὶ Διμὰν, καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν· Σαλὼμ ὁ ἄρχων,

18and he waited hitherto in the king's gate eastward: these are the gates of the companies of the sons of Levi.καὶ ἕως ταύτης ἐν τῇ πύλῃ τοῦ βασιλέως κατʼ ἀνατολάς· αὗται αἱ πύλαι τῶν παρεμβολῶν υἱῶν Λευί.

19And Sellum the son of Core, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Core, and his brethren belonging to the house of his father, the Corites were over the works of the service, keeping the watches of the tabernacle, and their fathers over the camp of the Lord, keeping the entrance.Καὶ Σελλοὺμ υἱὸς Κορὲ, υἱοῦ Ἀβιασὰφ, υἱοῦ Κορέ· καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς οἶκον πατρὸς αὐτοῦ, οἱ Κορῖται ἐπὶ τῶν ἔργων τῆς λειτουργίας φυλάσσοντες τὰς φυλακὰς τῆς σκηνῆς· καὶ πατέρες αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῆς παρεμβολῆς Κυρίου φυλάσσοντες τὴν εἴσοδον.

20And Phinees son of Eleazar was head over them before the Lord, and these were with him.Καὶ Φινεὲς υἱὸς Ἐλεάζαρ ἡγούμενος ἦν ἐπʼ αὐτῶν ἔμπροσθεν Κυρίου, καὶ οὗτοι μετʼ αὐτοῦ.

21Zacharias the son of Mosollami was keeper of the door of the tabernacle of witness.Ζαχαρίας υἱὸς Μοσολλαμὶ πυλωρὸς τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου.

22All the chosen porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve, these were in their courts, this was their distribution: these David and Samuel the seer established in their charge.Πάντες οἱ ἐκλεκτοὶ ἐπὶ τῆς πύλης ἐν ταῖς πύλαις διακόσιοι καὶ δεκαδύο· οὗτοι ἐν ταῖς αὐλαῖς αὐτῶν, ὁ καταλοχισμὸς αὐτῶν· τούτους ἔστησε Δαυὶδ καὶ Σαμουὴλ ὁ βλέπων τῇ πίστει αὐτῶν.

23And these and their sons were over the gates in the house of the Lord, and in the house of the tabernacle, to keep watch.Καὶ οὗτοι καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῶν πύλων ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου, καὶ ἐν οἴκῳ τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ φυλάσσειν.

24The gates were toward the four winds, eastward, westward, northward, southward.Κατὰ τοὺς τέσσαρας ἀνέμους ἦσαν αἱ πύλαι, κατὰ ἀνατολὰς, θάλασσαν, Βοῤῥᾶν, Νότον.

25And their brethren were in their courts, to enter in weekly from time to time with these.Καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς αὐλαῖς αὐτῶν τοῦ εἰσπορεύεσθαι κατὰ ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἀπὸ καιροῦ εἰς καιρὸν μετὰ τούτων·

26For four strong men have the charge of the gates; and the Levites were over the chambers, and they keep watch over the treasures of the house of God.Ὅτι ἐν πίστει εἰσὶ τέσσαρες δυνατοὶ τῶν πυλῶν· καὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἦσαν ἐπὶ τῶν παστοφορίων, καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν θησαυρῶν οἴκου τοῦ Θεοῦ παρεμβάλλουσιν,

27For the charge was upon them, and these were charged with the keys to open the doors of the temple every morning.ὅτι ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς ἡ φυλακή· καὶ οὗτοι ἐπὶ τῶν κλειδῶν τοπρωῒ πρωῒ ἀνοίγειν τὰς θύρας τοῦ ἱεροῦ.

28And some of them were appointed over the vessels of service, that they should carry them in by number, and carry them out by number.Καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τὰ σκεύη τῆς λειτουργίας, ὅτι ἐν ἀριθμῷ εἰσοίσουσι, καὶ ἐν ἀριθμῷ ἐξόσουσι.

29And some of them were appointed over the furniture, and over all the holy vessels, and over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the spices.Καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν καθεσταμένοι ἐπὶ τὰ σκεύη, καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα σκεύη τὰ ἅγια, καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς σεμιδάλεως, τοῦ οἴνου, τοῦ ἐλαίου, τοῦ λιβανωτοῦ, καὶ τῶν ἀρωμάτων.

30And some of the priests were makers of the ointment, and appointed to prepare the spices.Καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν τῶν ἱερέων ἦσαν μυρεψοὶ τοῦ μύρου, καὶ εἰς τὰ ἀρώματα.

31And Matthathias of the Levites, (he was the firstborn of Salom the Corite,) was set in charge over the sacrifices of meat-offering of the pan belonging to the high priest.Καὶ Ματθαθίας ἐκ τῶν Λευιτῶν, οὗτος ὁ πρωτότοκος τῷ Σαλὼμ τῷ Κορείτῃ, ἐν τῇ πίστει ἐπὶ τὰ ἔργα τῆς θυσίας τοῦ τηγάνου τοῦ μεγάλου ἱερέως.

32And Banaias the Caathite, from among their brethren, was set over the show bread, to prepare it every sabbath.Καὶ Βαναΐας ὁ Κααθίτης ἐκ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν ἐπὶ τῶν ἄρτων τῆς προθέσεως, τοῦ ἑτοιμάσαι σάββατον κατὰ σάββατον.

33And these were the singers, heads of families of the Levites, to whom were established daily courses, for they were employed in the services day and night.Καὶ οὗτοι ψαλτῳδοὶ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῶν Λευιτῶν διατεταγμέναι ἐφημερίαι, ὅτι ἡμέρα καὶ νὺξ ἐπʼ αὐτοῖς ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις.

34These were the heads of the families of the Levites according to their generations; these chiefs lived in Jerusalem.Οὗτοι ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῶν Λευιτῶν κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν, ἄρχοντες οὗτοι κατῴκησαν ἐν Ἱερουσαλήμ.

35And Jeel the father of Gabaon lived in Gabaon; and his wife's name was Moocha.Καὶ ἐν Γαβαὼν κατῴκησε πατὴρ Γαβαὼν Ἰεήλ· καὶ ὄνομα γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ Μοωχά.

36And his firstborn son was Abdon, and he had Sur, and Kis, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,Καὶ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ὁ πρωτότοκος Ἀβδὼν, καὶ Σοὺρ, καὶ Κὶς, καὶ Βαὰλ, καὶ Νὴρ, καὶ Ναδὰβ,

37and Gedur and his brother, and Zacchur, and Makeloth.καὶ Γεδοὺρ καὶ ἀδελφὸς, καὶ Ζακχοὺρ, καὶ Μακελώθ.

38And Makeloth begot Samaa: and these lived in the midst of their brethren in Jerusalem, even in the midst of their brethren.Καὶ Μακελὼθ ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαμαά· καὶ οὗτοι ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν κατῴκησαν ἐν Ἱερουσαλὴμ, ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν.

39And Ner begot Kis, and Kis begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, and Melchisue, and Aminadab, and Asabal.Καὶ Νὴρ ἐγέννησε τὸν Κὶς, καὶ Κὶς ἐγέννησε τὸν Σαοὺλ, καὶ Σαοὺλ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰωνάθαν, καὶ τὸν Μελχισουὲ, καὶ τὸν Ἀμιναδὰβ, καὶ τὸν Ἀσαβάλ.

40And the son of Jonathan was Meribaal: and Meribaal begot Micha.Καὶ υἱὸς Ἰωνάθαν Μεριβάλ· καὶ Μεριβαὰλ ἐγέννησε τὸν Μιχά.

41And the sons of Micha were Phithon and Malach, and Tharach.Καὶ υἱοὶ Μιχὰ Φιθὼν, καὶ Μαλὰχ, καὶ Θαράχ.

42And Achaz begot Jada: and Jada begot Galemeth, and Gazmoth, and Zambri; and Zambri begot Massa.Καὶ Ἀχὰζ ἐγέννησε τὸν Ἰαδά· καὶ Ἰαδὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Γαλεμὲθ, καὶ τὸν Γαζμὼθ, καὶ τὸν Ζαμβρί· και Ζαμβρὶ ἐγέννησε τὸν Μασσά.

43And Massa begot Baana, and Rhaphaia was his son, Elasa his son, Esel his son.Καὶ Μασσὰ ἐγέννησε τὸν Βαανὰ, καὶ Ῥαφαΐα υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ἐλασὰ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ, Ἐσὴλ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ.

44And Esel had six sons, and these were their names; Esricam his firstborn, and Ismael, and Saraia, and Abdia, and Anan, and Asa: these were the sons of Esel.Καὶ τῷ Ἐσὴλ ἓξ υἱοί· καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν· Ἐζρικὰμ πρωτότοκος αὐτοῦ, καὶ Ἰσμαὴλ, καὶ Σαραΐα, καὶ Ἀβδία, καὶ Ἀνὰν, καὶ Ἀσά· οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἐσήλ.
