Deuteronomy 28

1And it shall come to pass, if you will indeed hear the voice of the Lord your God, to observe and do all these commands, which I charge you this day, that the Lord your God shall set you on high above all the nations of the earth;Καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν ἀκοῇ ἀκούσῃς τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου, φυλάσσειν καὶ ποιεῖν πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς ταύτας, ἃς ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον, καὶ δώσει σε Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου ὑπεράνω ἐπὶ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τῆς γῆς,

2and all these blessings shall come upon you, and shall find you. If you will indeed hear the voice of the Lord your God,καὶ ἥξουσιν ἐπὶ σὲ πᾶσαι αἱ εὐλογίαι αὗται, καὶ εὑρήσουσί σε· ἐὰν ἀκοῇ ἀκούσῃς τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου,

3blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.εὐλογημένος σὺ ἐν πόλει, καὶ εὐλογημένος σὺ ἐν ἀγρῶ.

4Blessed shall be the offspring of your * body, and the fruits of your land, and the herds of your oxen, and the flocks of your sheep.Εὐλογημένα τὰ ἔκγονα τῆς κοιλίας σου, καὶ τὰ γεννήματα τῆς γης σου, καὶ τὰ βουκόλια τῶν βοῶν σου, καὶ τὰ ποίμνια τῶν προβάτων σου.

5Blessed shall be your barns, and your stores.Εὐλογημέναι αἱ ἀποθῆκαί σου, καὶ τὰ ἐγκαταλείμματά σου.

6Blessed shall you be in your coming in, and blessed shall you be in your going out.Εὐλογημένος σὺ ἐν τῷ εἰσπορεύεσθαί σε, καὶ εὐλογημένος σὺ ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαί σε.

7The Lord deliver your enemies that withstand you utterly broken before your face: they shall come out against you one way, and they shall flee seven ways from before you.Παραδῷ Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου τοὺς ἐχθρούς σου τοὺς ἀνθεστηκότας σοι συντετριμμένους πρὸ προσώπου σου· ὁδῷ μιᾷ ἐξελεύσονται πρὸς σέ, καὶ ἐν ἑπτὰ ὁδοῖς φεύξονται ἀπὸ προσώπου σου.

8The Lord send upon you his blessing in your barns, and on all on which you shall put your hand, in the land which the Lord your God gives you.Ἀποστείλαι Κύριος ἐπὶ σὲ τὴν εὐλογίαν ἐν τοῖς ταμείοις σου, καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα οὗ ἂν ἐπιβάλῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου, ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ἧς Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου δίδωσί σοι.

9The Lord raise you up for himself a holy people, as he swore to your fathers; if you will hear the voice of the Lord your God, and walk in all his ways.Ἀναστήσαι σε Κύριος ἑαυτῷ λαὸν ἅγιον, ὃν τρόπον ὤμοσε τοῖς πατράσι σου· ἐὰν ἀκούσῃς τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου, καὶ πορευθῇς ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτοῦ,

10And all the nations of the earth shall see † you, that the name of the Lord is called upon you, and they shall stand in awe of you.καὶ ὄψονταί σε πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τῆς γῆς, ὅτι τὸ ὄνομα Κυρίου ἐπικέκληταί σοι, καὶ φοβηθήσονταί σε.

11And the Lord your God shall multiply you for good in the offspring of your ‡ body, and in the offspring of your cattle, and in the fruits of your land, on your land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to you.Καὶ πληθυνεῖ σε Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου εἰς ἀγαθὰ ἐν τοῖς ἐκγόνοις τῆς κοιλίας σου, καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς ἐκγόνοις τῶν κτηνῶν σου, καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς γεννήμασι τῆς γῆς σου, ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς σου ἧς ὤμοσε Κύριος τοῖς πατράσι σου δοῦναί σοι.

12May the Lord open to you his good treasure, the heaven, to give rain to your land in season: may he bless all the works of your hands: so shall you lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.Ἀνοίξαι σοι Κύριος τὸν θησαυρὸν αὐτοῦ τὸν ἀγαθὸν, τὸν οὐρανὸν, δοῦναι τὸν ὑετὸν τῇ γῇ σου ἐπὶ καιροῦ· εὐλογῆσαι πάντα τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν σου· καὶ δανειεῖς ἔθνεσι πολλοῖς, σὺ δὲ οὐ δανειῇ. καὶ ἄρξεις σὺ ἐθνῶν πολλῶν, σοῦ δὲ οὐκ ἄρξουσι.

13The Lord your God make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall then be above and you shall not be below, if you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, in all things that I charge you this day to observe.Καταστήσαι σε Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου εἰς κεφαλὴν καὶ μὴ εἰς οὐρὰν, καὶ ἔσῃ τότε ἐπάνω καὶ οὐκ ἔσῃ ὑποκάτω, ἐὰν ἀκούσῃς τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου, ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον φυλάσσειν.

14You shall not turn aside from any of the commandments, which I charge you this day, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.Οὐ παραβήσῃ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἐντολῶν, ὧν ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον δεξιὰ οὐδὲ ἀριστερὰ, πορεύσεθαι ὀπίσω θεῶν ἑτέρων λατρεύειν αὐτοῖς.

15But it shall come to pass, if you will not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to observe all his commandments, as many as I charge you this day, then all these curses shall come on you, and overtake you.Καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν μὴ εἰσακούσῃς τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου, φυλάσσεσθαι πάσας τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ, ὅσας ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον, καὶ ἐλεύσονται ἐπὶ σὲ πᾶσαι αἱ κατάραι αὗται, καὶ καταλήψονταί σε.

16Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.Ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἐν πόλει, καὶ ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἐν ἀγρῷ.

17Cursed shall be your barns and your stores.Ἐπικατάρατοι αἱ ἀποθῆκαί σου, καὶ τὰ ἐγκαταλείμματά σου.

18Cursed shall be the offspring of your body, and the fruits of your land, the herds of your oxen, and the flocks of your sheep.Ἐπικατάρατα τὰ ἔκγονα τῆς κοιλίας σου, καὶ τὰ γεννήματα τῆς γῆς σου, τὰ βουκόλια τῶν βοῶν σου, καὶ τὰ ποίμνια τῶν προβάτων σου·

19Cursed shall you be in your coming in, and cursed shall you be in your going out.Ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἐν τῷ εἰσπορεύεσθαί σε, καὶ ἐπικατάρατος σὺ ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαί σε.

20The Lord send upon you lack, and famine, and consumption of all things on which you shall put your hand, until he shall have utterly destroyed you, and until he shall have consumed you quickly because of your evil devices, because you have forsaken me.Ἀποστείλαι Κύριος ἐπὶ σὲ τὴν ἔνδειαν καὶ τὴν ἐκλιμίαν καὶ τὴν ἀνάλωσιν ἐπὶ πάντα οὗ ἐὰν ἐπιβάλῃς τὴν χεῖρά σου, ἕως ἂν ἐξολοθρεύσῃ σε, καὶ ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσῃ σε ἐν τάχει διὰ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐπιτηδεύματά σου, διότι ἐνκατέλιπές με.

21§ The Lord cause the pestilence to cleave to you, until he shall have consumed you off the land into which you go to inherit it.Προσκολλήσαι Κύριος εἰς σὲ τὸν θάνατον, ἕως ἂν ἐξαναλώσῃ σε ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς, εἰς ἣν εἰσπορεύῃ ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν.

22The Lord strike you with distress, and fever, and cold, and inflammation, and blighting, and paleness, and they shall pursue you until they have destroyed you.Πατάξαι σε Κύριος ἐν ἀπορίᾳ, καὶ πυρετῷ, καὶ ῥίγει, καὶ ἐρεθισμῷ, καὶ ἀνεμοφθορίᾳ, καὶ τῇ ὤχρᾳ, καὶ καταδιώξονταί σε ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσωσί σε.

23And you shall have over your head a sky of brass, and the earth under you shall be iron.Καὶ ἔσται σοι ὁ οὐρανὸς ὁ ὑπὲρ κεφαλῆς σου χαλκοῦς, καὶ ἡ γῆ ἡ ὑποκάτω σου σιδηρᾶ.

24The Lord your God make the rain of your land dust; and dust shall come down from heaven, until it shall have destroyed you, and until it shall have quickly consumed you.Δῴη Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου τὸν ὑετὸν τῇς γῇς σου κονιορτὸν, καὶ χοῦς ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καταβήσεται, ἕως ἂν ἐκτρίψῃ σε, καὶ ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσῃ σε ἐν τάχει.

25The Lord give you up for slaughter before your enemies: you shall go out against them one way, and flee from their face seven ways; and you shall be a dispersion in all the kingdoms of the earth.Δῴη σε Κύριος ἐπὶ κοπὴν ἐναντίον τῶν ἐχθρῶν· ἐν ὁδῷ μιᾷ ἐξελεύσῃ πρὸς αὐτοὺς, καὶ ἐν ἑπτὰ ὁδοῖς φεύξῃ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν· καὶ ἔσῃ διασπορὰ ἐν πάσαις βασιλείαις τῆς γῆς.

26And your dead men shall be food to the birds of the sky, and to the beasts of the earth; and there shall be none to scare them away.Καὶ ἔσονται οἱ νεκροὶ ὑμῶν κατάβρωμα τοῖς πετεινοῖς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, καὶ τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ ἐκφοβῶν.

27The Lord strike you with the botch of Egypt in the seat, and with a malignant scab, and itch, so that you can not be healed.Πατάξαι σε Κύριος ἕλκει Αἰγυπτίῳ εἰς τὴν ἕδραν, καὶ ψώρᾳ ἀγρίᾳ, καὶ κνήφῃ, ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαί σε ἰαθῆναι.

28The Lord strike you with insanity, and blindness, and astonishment of mind.Πατάξαι σε Κύριος παραπληξίᾳ, καὶ ἀορασίᾳ, καὶ ἐκστάσει διανοίας.

29And you shall grope at mid-day, as a blind man would grope in the darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways; and then you shall be unjustly treated, and plundered continually, and there shall be no helper.Καὶ ἔσῃ ψηλαφῶν μεσημβρίας, ὡσεί τις ψηλαφήσαι τυφλὸς ἐν τῷ σκότει, καὶ οὐκ εὐοδώσει τὰς ὁδούς σου· καὶ ἔσῃ τότε ἀδικούμενος, καὶ διαρπαζόμενος πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ βοηθῶν.

30you shall take a wife, and another man shall have her; you shall build a house, and you shall not dwell in it; you shall plant a vineyard, and shall not gather the grapes of it.Γυναῖκα λήψῃ, καὶ ἀνὴρ ἕτερος ἕξει αὐτήν· οἰκίαν οἰκοδομήσεις, καὶ οὐκ οἰκήσεις ἐν αὐτῇ· ἀμπελῶνα φυτεύσεις, καὶ οὐ μὴ τρυγήσεις αὐτόν.

31Your calf shall be slain before you, and you shall not eat of it; your ass shall be violently taken away from you, and shall not be restored to you: your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you shall have no helper.Ὁ μόσχος σου ἐσφαγμένος ἐναντίον σου, καὶ οὐ φάγῃ ἐξ αὐτοῦ· ὁ ὄνος σου ἡρπασμένος ἀπὸ σοῦ, καὶ οὐκ ἀποδοθήσεταί σοι· τὰ πρόβατά σου δεδομένα τοῖς ἐχθροῖς σου,

32Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another nation, and your eyes wasting away shall look for them: your hand shall have no strength.καὶ οὐκ ἔσται σοι ὁ βοηθῶν. Οἱ υἱοί σου καὶ αἱ θυγατέρες σου δεδομέναι ἔθνει ἑτέρῳ, καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου βλέψονται σφακελίζοντες εἰς αὐτὰ· οὐκ ἰσχύσει ἡ χείρ σου.

33A nation which you know not shall eat the produce of your land, and all your labors; and you shall be injured and crushed always.Τὰ ἐκφόρια τῆς γῆς σου, καὶ πάντας τοὺς πόνους σου φάγεται ἔθνος, ὃ οὐκ ἐπίστασαι· καὶ ἔσῃ ἀδικούμενος καὶ τεθραυσμένος πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας.

34And you shall be distracted, because of the sights of your eyes which you shall see.Καὶ ἔσῃ παράπληκτος διὰ τὰ ὁράματα τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν σου, ἃ βλέψῃ.

35The Lord strike you with an evil sore, on the knees and the legs, so that you shall not be able to be healed from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.Πατάξαι σε Κύριος ἐν ἕλκει πονηρῷ ἐπὶ τὰ γόνατα καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς κνήμας, ὥστε μὴ δύνασθαι ἰαθῆναί σε ἀπὸ ἴχνους τῶν ποδῶν σου ἕως τῆς κορυφῆς σου.

36The Lord carry away you and your princes, whom you shall set over you, to a nation which neither you nor your fathers know; and you shall there serve other gods, wood and stone.Ἀπαγάγοι Κύριός σε καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντάς σου, οὓς ἂν καταστήσῃς ἐπὶ σεαυτὸν, ἐπʼ ἔθνος ὃ οὐκ ἐπίστασαι σὺ καὶ οἱ πατέρες σου, καὶ λατρεύσεις ἐκεῖ θεοῖς ἑτέροις ξύλοις καὶ λίθοις.

37And you shall be there for a wonder, and a parable, and a tale, among all the nations, to which the Lord your God shall carry you away.Καὶ ἔσῃ ἐκεῖ ἐν αἰνίγματι καὶ παραβολῇ καὶ διηγήματι ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, εἰς οὓς ἂν ἀπαγάγῃ σε Κύριος ἐκεῖ.

38You shall carry forth much seed into the field, and you shall bring in little, because the locust shall devour it.Σπέρμα πολὺ ἐξοίσεις εἰς τὸ πεδίον, καὶ ὀλίγα εἰσοίσεις, ὅτι κατέδεται αὐτὰ ἡ ἀκρίς·

39You shall plant a vineyard, and dress it, and shall not drink the wine, neither shall you delight yourself with it, because the worm shall devour ** it.Ἀμπελῶνα φυτεύσεις καὶ κατεργᾷ, καὶ οἶνον οὐ πίεσαι οὐδὲ εὐφρανθήσῃ ἐξ αὐτοῦ, ὅτι καταφάγεται αὐτὰ ὁ σκώληξ.

40You shall have olive trees in all your borders, and you shall not anoint you with oil, because your olive shall utterly †† cast its fruit.Ἐλαῖαι ἔσονταί σοι ἐν πᾶσι τοὶς ὁρίοις σου, καὶ ἔλαιον οὐ χρίσῃ, ὅτι ἐκρυήσεται ἡ ἐλαία σου.

41You shall beget sons and daughters, and they shall not be yours, for they shall depart into captivity.Υἱοὺς καὶ θυγατέρας γεννήσεις καὶ οὐκ ἔσονται· ἀπελεύσονται γὰρ ἐν αἰχμαλωσίᾳ.

42All your trees and the fruits of your land shall the blight consume.Πάντα τὰ ξύλινά σου, καὶ τὰ γεννήματα τῆς γῆς σου ἐξαναλώσει ἡ ἐρισύβη.

43The stranger that is within you shall get up very high, and you shall come down very low.Ὁ προσήλυτος ὅς ἐστιν ἐν σοὶ, ἀναβήσεται ἄνω ἄνω, σὺ δὲ καταβήσῃ κάτω κάτω.

44He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.Οὗτος δανειεῖ σοι, σὺ δὲ τούτῳ οὐ δανειεῖς· οὗτος ἔσται κεφαλὴ, σὺ δὲ ἔσῃ οὐρά.

45And all these curses shall come upon you, and shall pursue you, and shall overtake you, until he shall have consumed you, and until he shall have destroyed you; because you did not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep his commands, and his ordinances which he has commanded you.Καὶ ἐλεύσονται ἐπὶ σὲ πᾶσαι αἱ κατάραι αὗται, καὶ καταδιώξονταί σε, καὶ καταλήψονταί σε, ἔως ἂν ἐξολοθρεύσῃ σε, καὶ ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσῃ σε· ὅτι οὐκ εἰσήκουσας τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου, φυλάξαι τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα ὅσα ἐνετείλατό σοι.

46And these things shall be signs in you, and wonders among your seed for ever;Καὶ ἔσται ἐν σοὶ σημεῖα, καὶ τέρατα ἐν τῷ σπέρματί σου ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος,

47because you did not serve the Lord your God with gladness and a good heart, because of the abundance of all things.ἀνθʼ ὧν οὐκ ἐλάτρευσας Κυρίῳ τῷ Θεῷ σου ἐν εὐφροσύνῃ καὶ ἀγαθῇ διανοίᾳ διὰ τὸ πλῆθος πάντων.

48And you shall serve your enemies, which the Lord will send forth against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in the lack of all things; and you shall wear upon your neck a yoke of iron until he shall have destroyed you.Καὶ λατρεύσεις τοῖς ἐχθροῖς σου, οὓς ἐπαποστελεῖ Κύριος ἐπὶ σέ, ἐν λιμῷ, καὶ ἐν δίψει, καὶ ἐν γυμνότητι, καὶ ἐν ἐκλείψει πάντων· καὶ ἐπιθήσῃ κλοιὸν σιδηροῦν ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλόν σου, ἕως ἂν ἐξολοθρεύσῃ σε.

49The Lord shall bring upon you a nation from the extremity of the earth, like the swift flying of an eagle, a nation whose voice you shall not ‡‡ understand;Ἐπάξει ἐπὶ σὲ Κύριος ἔθνος μακρόθεν ἀπʼ ἐσχάτου τῆς γῆς ὡσεὶ ὅρμημα ἀετοῦ, ἔθνος ὃ οὐκ ἀκούσῃ τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ,

50a nation bold in countenance, which shall not §§ respect the person of the aged and shall not pity the young.ἔθνος ἀναιδὲς προσώπῳ, ὅστις οὐ θαυμάσει πρόσωπον πρεσβύτου, καὶ νέον οὐκ ἐλεήσει.

51And it shall eat up the young of your cattle, and the fruits of your land, so as not to leave to you corn, wine, oil, the herds of your oxen, and the flocks of your sheep, until it shall have destroyed you;Καὶ κατέδεται τὰ ἔγκονα τῶν κτηνῶν σου, καὶ τὰ γεννήματα τῆς γῆς σου, ὥστε μὴ καταλιπεῖν σοι σῖτον, οἶνον, ἔλαιον, τὰ βουκόλια τῶν βοῶν σου, καὶ τὰ ποίμνια τῶν προβάτων σου, ἕως ἂν ἀπολέσῃ σε.

52and have utterly crushed you in your cities, until the high and strong walls be destroyed, in which you trust, in all your land; and it shall afflict you in your cities, which he has given to you.Καὶ ἐκτρίψῃ σε ἐν ταῖς πόλεσί σου, ἕως ἂν καθαιρεθῶσι τὰ τείχη τὰ ὑψηλὰ καὶ τὰ ὀχυρὰ, ἐφʼ οἷς σὺ πέποιθας ἐπʼ αὐτοῖς, ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ σου· καὶ θλίψει σε ἐν ταῖς πόλεσί σου, αἷς ἔδωκέ σοι.

53And you shall eat the fruit of your *** body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, all that he has given you, in your straitness and your affliction, with which your enemy shall afflict you.Καὶ φαγῇ τὰ ἔκγονα τῆς κοιλίας σου, κρέα υἱῶν σου καὶ θυγατέρων σου, ὅσα ἔδωκέ σοι, ἐν τῇ στενοχωρίᾳ σου καὶ ἐν τῇ θλίψει σου, ἡ· θλίψει σε ὁ ἐχθρός σου.

54He that is tender and very delicate within you shall look with an evil eye upon his brother, and the wife in his bosom, and the children that are left, which may have been left to him;Ὁ ἁπαλὸς ὁ ἐν σοὶ καὶ ὁ τρυφερὸς σφόδρα, βασκανεῖ τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ αὐτοῦ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα τὴν ἐν τῷ κόλπῳ αὐτοῦ, καὶ τὰ καταλελειμμένα τέκνα, ἃ ἂν καταλειφθῇ

55so as not to give to one of them of the flesh of his children, whom he shall eat, because of his having nothing left him in your straitness, and in your affliction, with which your enemies shall afflict you in all your cities.αὐτῷ, ὥστε δοῦναι ἑνὶ αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν σαρκῶν τῶν τέκνων αὐτοῦ, ὧν ἂν κατέσθῃ διὰ τὸ μὴ καταλειφθῆναι αὐτῷ οὐδὲν ἐν τῇ στενοχωρίᾳ σου, καὶ ἐν τῇ θλίψει σου, ἡ· ἂν θλίψωσί σε οἱ ἐχθροί σου ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσί σου.

56And she that is tender and delicate among you, whose foot has not assayed to go upon the earth for delicacy and tenderness, shall look with an evil eye on her husband in her bosom, and her son and her daughter,Καὶ ἡ ἁπαλὴ ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ ἡ τρυφερά, ἧς οὐχὶ πεῖραν ἔλαβεν ὁ ποὺς αὐτῆς βαίνειν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς διὰ τὴν τρυφερότητα καὶ διὰ τὴν ἁπαλότητα, βασκανεῖ τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ αὐτῆς τὸν ἄνδρα αὐτῆς τὸν ἐν κόλπῳ αὐτῆς, καὶ τὸν υἱὸν καὶ τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτῆς,

57and her ††† offspring that comes out between her feet, and the child which she shall bear; for she shall eat them because of the lack of all things, secretly in your straitness, and in your affliction, with which your enemy shall afflict you in your cities.καὶ τὸ κόριον αὐτῆς τὸ ἐξελθὸν διὰ τῶν μηρῶν αὐτῆς, καὶ τὸ τέκνον αὐτῆς ὃ ἐὰν τέκῃ· καταφάγεται γὰρ αὐτὰ διὰ τὴν ἔνδειαν πάντων κρυφῇ ἐν τῇ στενοχωρίᾳ σου, καὶ ἐν τῇ θλίψει σου, ἡ· θλίψει σε ὁ ἐχθρός σου ἐν ταῖς πόλεσί σου,

58If you will not listen to do all the words of this law, which have been written in this book, to fear this glorious and wonderful name, the Lord your God;ἐὰν μὴ εἰσακούσῃς ποιεῖν πάντα τὰ ῥήματα τοῦ νόμου τούτου, τὰ γεγραμμένα ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τούτῳ, φοβεῖσθαι τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ἔντιμον τὸ θαυμαστὸν τοῦτο, ΚΥΡΙΟΝ τὸν ΘΕΟΝ σου.

59then the Lord shall magnify your plagues, and the plagues of your seed, great and wonderful plagues, and evil and dwelling diseases.Καὶ παραδοξάσει Κύριος τὰς πληγάς σου, καὶ τὰς πληγὰς τοῦ σπέρματός σου, πληγὰς μεγάλας καὶ θαυμαστὰς, καὶ νόσους πονηρὰς καὶ πιστάς.

60And he shall bring upon you all the evil pain of Egypt, ‡‡‡ of which you were afraid, and they shall cleave to you.Καὶ ἐπιστρέψει πᾶσαν τὴν ὀδύνην Αἰγύπτου τὴν πονηρὰν, ἣν διευλαβοῦ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν, καὶ κολληθήσονται ἐν σοί.

61And the Lord shall bring upon you every sickness, and every plague that is not written, and every one that is written in the book of this law, until he shall have destroyed you.Καὶ πᾶσαν μαλακίαν, καὶ πᾶσαν πληγὴν τὴν μὴ γεγραμμένην, καὶ πᾶσαν τὴν γεγραμμένην ἐν τῷ βιβλίῳ τοῦ νόμου τούτου, ἐπάξει Κύριος ἐπὶ σέ, ἕως ἂν ἐξολοθρεύσῃ σε.

62And you shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of the sky in multitude; because you did not listen to the voice of the Lord your God.Καὶ καταλειφθήσεσθε ἐν ἀριθμῷ βραχεῖ, ἀνθʼ ὧν ὅτι ἦτε ὡσεὶ τὰ ἄστρα τοῦ οὐρανοῦ τῷ πλήθει, ὅτι οὐκ εἰσήκουσας τῆς φωνῆς Κυρίου τοῦ Θεοῦ σου.

63And it shall come to pass that as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you; and you shall be quickly removed from the land, into which you go to inherit it.Καὶ ἔσται ὃν τρόπον εὐφράνθη Κύριος ἐφʼ ὑμῖν εὖ ποιῆσαι ὑμᾶς, καὶ πληθῦναι ὑμᾶς, οὕτως εὐφρανθήσεται Κύριος ἐφʼ ὑμῖν ἐξολοθρεῦσαι ὑμᾶς· καὶ ἐξαρθήσεσθε ἐν τάχει ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς, εἰς ἣν εἰσπορεύῃ ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι αὐτήν.

64And the Lord your God shall scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other; and you shall there serve other gods, wood and stone, which you have not known, nor your fathers.Καὶ διασπερεῖ σε Κύριος ὁ Θεός σου εἰς πάντα τὰ ἔθνη, ἀπʼ ἄκρου τῆς γῆς ἕως ἄκρου τῆς γῆς, καὶ δουλεύσεις ἐκεῖ θεοῖς ἑτέροις, ξύλοις καὶ λίθοις, οὓς οὐκ ἠπίστω σὺ καὶ οἱ πατέρες σου.

65Moreover among those nations he will not give you quiet, neither by any means shall the sole of your foot have rest; and the Lord shall give you there another and a misgiving heart, and failing eyes, and a wasting soul.Ἀλλὰ καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἐκείνοις οὐκ ἀναπαύσει σε, οὐδʼ οὐ μὴ γένηται στάσις τῷ ἴχνει τοῦ ποδός σου· καὶ δώσει σοι Κύριος ἐκεῖ καρδίαν ἑτέραν ἀπειθοῦσαν, καὶ ἐκλείποντας ὀφθαλμοὺς, καὶ τηκομένην ψυχήν.

66And your life shall be in suspense before your eyes; and you shall be afraid by day and by night, and you shall have no assurance of your life.Καὶ ἔσται ἡ ζωή σου κρεμαμένη ἀπέναντι τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν σου· καὶ φοβηθήσῃ ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς, καὶ οὐ πιστεύσεις τῇ ζωῇ σου.

67In the morning you shall say, Would it were evening! and in the evening you shall say, Would it were morning! for the fear of your heart with which you shall fear, and for the sights of your eyes which you shall see.Τὸ πρωῒ ἐρεῖς, πῶς ἂν γένοιτο ἑσπέρα· καὶ τὸ ἑσπέρας ἐρεῖς, πῶς ἂν γένοιτο πρωΐ· ἀπὸ τοῦ φόβου τῆς καρδίας σου ἃ φοβηθήσῃ, καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ὁραμάτων τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν σου ὧν ὄψῃ.

68And the Lord shall bring you back to Egypt in ships, by the way of which I said, You shall not see it again; and you shall be sold there to your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and none shall buy you.Καὶ ἀποστρέψει σε Κύριος εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἐν πλοίοις, ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἡ· εἶπα, οὐ προσθήσῃ ἔτι ἰδεῖν αὐτήν· καὶ πραθήσεσθε ἐκεῖ τοῖς ἐχθροῖς ὑμῶν εἰς παῖδας καὶ παιδίσκας, καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ κτώμενος.
