Esaias 52

1Awake, awake, Sion; put on your strength, O Sion; and o you put on your glory, Jerusalem the holy city: there shall no more pass through you, the uncircumcised and unclean.Ἐξεγείρου ἐξεγείρου Σιὼν, ἔνδυσαι τὴν ἰσχύν σου Σιὼν, καὶ σὺ ἔνδυσαι τὴν δόξαν σου Ἱερουσαλὴμ πόλις ἡ ἁγία· οὐκέτι προστεθήσεται διελθεῖν διὰ σοῦ ἀπερίτμητος καὶ ἀκάθαρτος.

2Shake off the dust and arise; sit down, Jerusalem: put off the band of your neck, captive daughter of Sion.Ἐκτίναξαι τὸν χοῦν καὶ ἀνάστηθι, κάθισον Ἱερουσαλὴμ, ἔκδυσαι τὸν δεσμὸν τοῦ τραχήλου σου ἡ αἰχμάλωτος θυγάτηρ Σιών.

3For thus says the Lord, You have been sold for nothing; and you shall not be ransomed with silver.Ὅτι τάδε λέγει Κύριος, δωρεὰν ἐπράθητε, καὶ οὐ μετὰ ἀργυρίου λυτρωθήσεσθε.

4Thus says the Lord, My people went down before to Egypt to sojourn there; and were carried away forcibly to the Assyrians.Οὕτως λέγει Κύριος, εἰς Αἴγυπτον κατέβη ὁ λαός μου τὸ πρότερον παροικῆσαι ἐκεῖ, καὶ εἰς Ἀσσυρίους βίᾳ ἤχθησαν.

5And now why are you here? Thus says the Lord, Because my people was taken for nothing, wonder you and howl. Thus says the Lord, On account of you ✡ my name is continually blasphemed among the Gentiles.Καὶ νῦν τί ἐστὲ ὧδε; τάδε λέγει Κύριος, ὅτι ἐλήφθη ὁ λαός μου δωρεὰν, θαυμάζετε καὶ ὀλολύζετε· τάδε λέγει Κύριος, διʼ ὑμᾶς διαπαντὸς τὸ ὄνομά μου βλασφημεῖται ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσι.

6Therefore shall my people know my name in that day, for I am he that speaks: I am present,Διατοῦτο γνώσεται ὁ λαός μου τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ, ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι αὐτὸς ὁ λαλῶν, πάρειμι ὡς ὥρα ἐπὶ τῶν ὀρέων,

7as * a season of beauty upon the mountains, as the feet of one preaching glad tidings of peace, as one preaching good news: for I will publish your salvation, saying, O Sion, your God shall reign.ὡς πόδες εὐαγγελιζομένου ἀκοὴν εἰρήνης, ὡς εὐαγγελιζόμενος ἀγαθὰ, ὅτι ἀκουστὴν ποιήσω τὴν σωτηρίαν σου, λέγων, Σιὼν βασιλεύσει σου ὁ Θεός.

8For the voice of them that guard you is exalted, and with the voice together they shall rejoice: for eyes shall look to eyes, when the Lord shall have mercy upon Sion.Ὅτι φωνὴ τῶν φυλασσόντων σε ὑψώθη, καὶ τῇ φωνῇ ἅμα εὐφρανθήσονται· ὅτι ὀφθαλμοὶ πρὸς ὀφθαλμοὺς ὄψονται, ἡνίκα ἂν ἐλεήσῃ Κύριος τὴν Σιών.

9Let the waste places of Jerusalem break forth in joy together, because the Lord has had mercy upon her, and has delivered Jerusalem.Ῥηξάτω εὐφροσύνην ἅμα τὰ ἔρημα Ἱερουσαλὴμ, ὅτι ἠλέησε Κύριος αὐτὴν, καὶ ἐῤῥύσατο Ἱερουσαλήμ.

10And the Lord shall reveal his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation that comes from our God.Καὶ ἀποκαλύψει Κύριος τὸν βραχίονα τὸν ἅγιον αὐτοῦ ἐνώπιον πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν, καὶ ὄψονται πάντα ἄκρα τῆς γῆς τὴν σωτηρίαν τὴν παρὰ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἡμῶν.

11✡ Depart you, depart, go out from thence, and touch not the unclean thing; go you out from the midst of her; separate yourselves, you that bear the vessels of the Lord.Ἀπόστητε, ἀπόστητε, ἐξέλθατε ἐκεῖθεν, καὶ ἀκαθάρτου μὴ ἅψησθε, ἐξέλθατε ἐκ μέσου αὐτῆς, ἀφορίσθητε οἱ φέροντες τὰ σκεύη Κυρίου·

12For you shall not go forth with tumult, neither go by flight: for the Lord shall go first in advance of you; and the God of Israel shall be he that † brings up your rear.Ὅτι οὐ μετὰ ταραχῆς ἐξελεύσεσθε, οὐδὲ φυγῇ πορεύσεσθε· προπορεύσεται γὰρ πρότερος ὑμῶν Κύριος, καὶ ὁ ἐπισυνάγων ὑμᾶς Θεὸς Ἰσραήλ.

13Behold, my servant shall understand, and be exalted, and glorified exceedingly.Ἰδοὺ, συνήσει ὁ παῖς μου, καὶ ὑψωθήσεται, καὶ δοξασθήσεται σφόδρα.

14As many shall be amazed at you, so shall your face be without glory from men, and your glory shall not be honored by the sons of men.Ὃν τρόπον ἐκστήσονται ἐπὶ σὲ πολλοὶ, οὕτως ἀδοξήσει ἀπὸ τῶς ἀνθρώπων τὸ εἶδός σου, καὶ ἡ δόξα σου ἀπὸ υἱῶν ἀνθρώπων.

15Thus shall many nations wonder at him; and kings shall keep their mouths shut: ✡ for they to whom no report was brought concerning him, shall see; and they who have not heard, shall consider.Οὕτω θαυμάσονται ἔθνη πολλὰ ἐπʼ αὐτῷ, καὶ συνέξουσι βασιλεῖς τὸ στόμα αὐτῶν· ὅτι οἷς οὐκ ἀνηγγέλη περὶ αὐτοῦ, ὄψονται, καὶ οἳ οὐκ ἀκηκόασι, συνήσουσι.
