- Paul's four-chapter letter to the Colossian church. Ancient and modern commentators held that Epaphras, one of Paul's disciples, had founded the church. Having learned from Epaphras of the danger posed by Judaizing false teachers who were spreading errors and heresies, Paul wrote to confirm the truth they had received and to portray the divine majesty of the Redeemer whom they confessed and believed.
