(Ps. 104:17 [103:17]) — a tree of the evergreen conifer family, with needle-like leaves. Its cone is cylindrical and falls off after the seeds have dropped. It grows from 60 to 100 feet in height, in damp lowlands, is rich in resin, and is used for building, fuel, and various manufactures; its bark is used for tanning.
