(youthful, boyish) (1 Chron. 7:28)—a city in the tribe of Ephraim. The proper form of this name is Naarath, evidently a simple variation of the word Naarah. This place must have been located not very far from Jericho, and several miles north or northeast of Jerusalem, but no traces of its location have as yet been discovered (Josh. 16:7).
