Enemessar

Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(Tobit 1:2, 15, 16) — the name of Shalmaneser, king of Assyria. In his reign Tobit was carried captive from Thisbe and taken to Nineveh, where he found favor and goodwill with Enemessar, became his purveyor, and did much good for his brethren. After the death of Enemessar his son Sennacherib became king.
