Flood

(Gen. 6-9)—the judgment in the days of Noah. Genesis describes a world filled with violence and corruption, while Noah found favor with God and walked faithfully. God commanded him to build an ark of gopher wood, three hundred cubits long, fifty wide, and thirty high, with rooms, a roof or opening, and a side door. Noah entered with his wife, his sons and their wives, representatives of land animals and birds, and food. Genesis 6 speaks generally of pairs, while Genesis 7 specifies additional clean animals and birds.
