Fortunatus
Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia
(fortunate; 1 Cor. 16:17)—a Christian who came to Paul with Stephanas and Achaicus and refreshed the apostle’s spirit. A Fortunatus also appears in the closing section of 1 Clement, but the identity of the two cannot be demonstrated. Later tradition numbers Paul’s associate among the Seventy Apostles and commemorates him on January 4.
