Mary, the mother of Mark

(Acts 12:12) — mother of that same Mark who was closely related to the apostle Barnabas and who wrote the second Gospel, known under his name. She had her own house in Jerusalem, where the believers gathered for prayer. Nothing more is said of her. It may be supposed that at the time referred to she was already a widow.
