Raphael

(help or healing of God) (Tob. 3:16; 5:4 and elsewhere)—the companion who, under the name Azarias, accompanied Tobias to Rages of Media to recover money that Tobit had once entrusted to Gabael, and who showed him many mercies on the journey (Tob. 4:1–20). He was an angel sent by God, though Tobit and Tobias did not know it. At the journey’s end Azarias disclosed himself: “I am Raphael, one of the seven holy angels, which present the prayers of the saints, and which go in and out before the glory of the Holy One” (Tob. 12:15).

Thus the angels invisibly accompany and guard us on all the paths of life even when we do not perceive it: “For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways” (Ps. 91:11).
