(answer) — the name of three persons: a) (Gen. 36:20, 29) of the sons of Seir, a chieftain of Idumea; b) (Gen. 36:24, 25) son of Zibeon the Hivite. “This was that Anah that found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the donkeys of Zibeon his father” (v. 24). c) (1 Kings 10:13 [as given]) mother of Asa, king of Judah, daughter of Absalom. Elsewhere she is called Maachah.
