(Judith 7:18) — a locality near Chusi, situated by the brook Mochmur, that is, in the hill country to the southeast of the plain of Esdraelon and of Dothan. It is mentioned only in the book of Judith. In this locality the allied forces of Holofernes were encamped during his invasion of Judea. According to the Syriac translation, by Ecrebel is meant the locality of Acrabein, mentioned by Eusebius in the Onomasticon, today Akrabeh, 9 versts southeast of Nablus.
