(spring of the sun) (Josh. 15:7) — a city on the northern border of the tribe of Judah; it is thought to be the same as the spring called the Apostles’ Spring, Ain Haud, or Ain Shems. According to tradition, the Lord often stopped here with His apostles. The spring Ain Haud is so situated that the sun’s rays fall upon it throughout the entire day.
