Eternity, eternal life

, the life of the age to come — this is such a life as will follow after the resurrection of the dead and the general judgment of God. For believers, who love God and do good, it will be so blessed that we cannot now even imagine that blessedness (1 John 3:2), while unbelievers and the lawless will be given over to eternal death, or, in other words, to eternal fire, to eternal torment together with the devil (Rev. 20:15; Matt. 25:41, 49; Mark 9:47, 48, and elsewhere).
