(multitude, place of much burial) — the name given to a certain city in the prophecy of Ezekiel (39:11–16), evidently having an allegorical meaning, in which, it appears, is represented the struggle of paganism and the kingdoms of the earth against the Kingdom of God, the end of which is indicated in the Revelation of John (20:7–9).
