(the appointed, designated place) (Neh. 3:31) — one of the gates of Jerusalem, otherwise called the “Judgment” gate, probably the same as that called by Ezekiel (43:21) “the appointed place of the House, outside the sanctuary.” According to some, this is the so-called Golden Gate in Jerusalem today, but this is not exactly proven.
