Alexandrians

(Acts 6:9) — Jews from Alexandria, who were present in Jerusalem when Stephen preached there, where they had their own synagogue. It may be that the Libertines and Cyrenians worshiped in the synagogue together with them, or it may be that each sect, or school, had its own separate synagogue. In either case, the writer of the Book of Acts says that some of them were of the so-called synagogue of the Libertines, and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians.
