Bethlehem of Zebulun

(Josh. 19:15) — an unknown city. It is supposed to be present-day Beit Lahm, 6 miles west of Nazareth. Perhaps it was the birthplace of the judge Ibzan (Judg. 12:8, 10), since the first Bethlehem is more precisely designated by the addition of the word “Judah,” or “Ephratah.” According to Robinson, this is the poorest hamlet in the whole country.
