Aznoth-tabor Athabor

(peaks of Tabor) (Josh. 19:34) — a city on the southern border of the tribe of Naphtali, the northernmost of the twelve tribes. Its connection with Mount Tabor, which lies on the southern border of the tribe of Zebulun, is not entirely clear. Some suppose it to be the Azanoth near Diocaesarea mentioned by Eusebius. This opinion is not altogether plausible.
