—the name of several persons or families. (1) (Gen. 46:9; Exod. 6:14) a son of Reuben. (2) (Josh. 7:1; 1 Chron. 2:7) a descendant of Zerah in Judah and the father or ancestor of Achan, also called Achar. The two genealogical formulations differ in their compression. (3) (1 Esdras 5:25) a priestly ancestral name corresponding to Harim in the parallel lists.
