Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(Rom. 16:12)—a devout Roman Christian woman whom the Apostle Paul greets in his Epistle to the Romans, calling her beloved and saying that she labored much in the Lord. From her name one might suppose that she was a native of Persia. Her name, however, is not found in the Orthodox calendars consulted by the source.
