Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(John 1:1, 14; 1 John 1:1)—the Logos, the second Person of the Holy Trinity, the Son of God, the eternal and personal Word of God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). This same divine Word became flesh for humanity and for our salvation (John 1:14).
