Wisdom

Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(Job 28:12; 1 Cor. 1:17–24 and elsewhere). In Scripture the word wisdom has a very broad meaning. Applied to God, it may denote His supreme knowledge, divine teaching, or revelation, and sometimes the pre-eternal and ever-existing Word Himself—Christ, “the power of God, and the wisdom of God” (1 Cor. 1:24).
