(a place by the shore) — the name of the following localities: a) (Num. 33:34–35) one of the encampments of the Hebrews during their wandering in the wilderness, shortly before Aaron’s death; situated between Jotbathah and Ezion-geber, and thus not far from the eastern arm of the Red Sea; b) (Judg. 2:24 [text unclear]) a stream, or brook, in Mesopotamia, whose location is unknown.
