Bezaleel

(son of the overshadowing or protection of God) — the name of two persons: a) (Exod. 31:2 and following) son of Uri, a renowned craftsman in the days of Moses, filled with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to whom, together with Aholiab, was entrusted, by God’s command, the construction of the tabernacle with all its furnishings; b) (Ezra 10:30) of the Israelites, sons of Pahath-moab, married to a foreigner. In 2 Esdras (9:31) he is called Sestil.
