(building) — the name of six persons: a) (Ezra 8:33) father of Noadiah, of the Levites, one of those to whom the gold, silver, and vessels donated by the Persian king and others, for the house of God, were weighed out and entrusted at the time of Ezra, after the captivity. In 2 Esdras (8:62) he is called Sabannus; b) (Neh. 3:24) son of Henadad, one of those who repaired the walls of Jerusalem under Nehemiah and set his seal to the covenant (Neh. 10:9); c) (Ezra 10:30) one of those who married foreign wives.
In 2 Esdras (9:31) it reads: Balnuus; d) (Ezra 10:38) another person of the Israelites who had foreign wives. In 2 Esdras (9:34) it reads: Bannus; e) (Neh. 7:15) an Israelite whose sons returned from captivity with Zerubbabel. In 2 Esdras (5:12) it reads: Banni; f) (Neh. 12:8) one of the Levites who returned from captivity with Zerubbabel.
