Dimnah Sella

Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(dunged, manured) (Josh. 21:35) — a small town of the tribe of Zebulun, given to the Levites of the line of Merari. It is not named in the other lists of Levitical cities, probably owing to its insignificance. Van de Velde locates Dimnah at the village of El-Damun, southeast of Acre, toward Tiberias.
