(winepress, press for extracting juice from pomegranates) — the name of two cities mentioned in the book of Joshua: a) (Josh. 19:45) a city in the tribe of Dan, a Levitical city, to the west of Jerusalem; b) (Josh. 21:25) a Levitical city in the half-tribe of Manasseh, between Taanach and Megiddo, on the far side of the Jordan. In 1 Chronicles (6:60 [as given]) it is called Bileam.
