(spring of pomegranates) (Neh. 11:29) — a city of the tribe of Judah, occupied by the Jews after their return from captivity. Its exact present location has not been established, though it is thought to have lain in the south of Judea, on the border of the kingdom of Judah and Edom (Josh. 15:21; Zech. 14:10).
