(Latin, fortunate; Acts 23:24–24:27)—Roman procurator of Judea, generally dated about AD 52–60. He was married to Drusilla, a daughter of Herod Agrippa I. Paul was brought under guard to Caesarea and tried before him. Felix and Drusilla later heard Paul speak concerning faith in Christ Jesus, righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment; Felix became afraid but postponed a decision (Acts 24:24–25).
