(4) (Gen. 25:18; 1 Sam. 15:7) a region named with Shur in descriptions of Ishmaelite and Amalekite territory. These passages may not all refer to one geographical area, and proposed locations in Arabia, Africa, India, or the Caucasus remain uncertain.
