Pisgah

Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(Num. 21:20; Deut. 3:27)—a ridge or summit in Moab associated with the Abarim range. Balak brought Balaam to a field on Pisgah, and from the summit Moses viewed the Promised Land before his death (Num. 23:14; Deut. 3:27; 34:1). Pisgah appears to be connected with Mount Nebo, though the terms need not name precisely the same summit.
