—(1) a town in the southern inheritance of Judah (Josh. 15:26); (2) a son of Hebron and father of Raham in Judah’s genealogy (1 Chron. 2:43-44); (3) an ancestor of Bela in Reuben’s line (1 Chron. 5:8); (4) a son of Elpaal who helped drive out the inhabitants of Gath (1 Chron. 8:13); (5) one of the men who stood at Ezra’s right when the Law was read (Neh. 8:4).
