(Rev. 1:10) has been celebrated since the time of Christ’s Resurrection. In the book of Acts, mention is made of a gathering of the disciples, that is, of Christians, “upon the first day of the week,” that is, on the first day of the week, or Sunday, “to break bread,” that is, to celebrate the sacrament of the Eucharist (Acts 20:7). The Apostle and Evangelist John likewise mentions the “Lord’s Day,” or Sunday (Rev. 1:10).
