(serpent) (1 Kings 1:9)—a stone or rock by the spring of En-rogel, probably in the valley to the southeast of Jerusalem. Here Adonijah held a feast for his brothers and the men of the tribe of Judah when he attempted to seize his father’s throne, under the circumstances set out in 1 Kings, chapter 1.
