Adarah, otherwise Adoraim Adorai

Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(2 Chron. 11:9) (two hills, upper and lower) — cities in the south of Judea, fortified by Rehoboam. After the Babylonian captivity, the upper one belonged to Idumea; it is identified with Adora (1 Macc. 13:20). It is supposed to be the present-day village of Dura, eight or nine English miles west of Hebron.
