Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(enmity, strife) — the name of four persons: a) one of the sons or descendants of Benjamin. In the book of Genesis (46:21) he is mentioned among those who migrated with Jacob to Egypt. He was the son of Bela (1 Chron. 8:3); b) (Judg. 3:15) father of the judge Ehud; c) (2 Sam. 16:5) father of Shimei of Bahurim, a Benjamite; d) (1 Chron. 8:7) one of the sons of Ehud, who lived at Geba.
