—(1) (Josh. 19:35) a fortified town of Naphtali, probably associated with the hot springs immediately south of Tiberias and perhaps identical with Hammoth-dor (Josh. 21:32). (2) (1 Chron. 2:55) the ancestor or clan designation connected with the Kenites descended from the house of Rechab; the wording of the genealogy is compressed.
