Satyr
Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia
(hairy, shaggy; goat or demon) (Isa 34:14; 13:21) - Isaiah says that desert creatures shall meet with wild beasts and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; of desolate Babylon he says that satyrs shall dance there. The word literally denotes a hairy, shaggy animal, perhaps a goat, though the source considers a baboon more likely.
