(Acts 16:8–11)—Alexandria Troas, a port city in Mysia near the site of ancient Troy. Founded in the Hellenistic period and enlarged by Lysimachus, it became an important commercial center and Roman colony. At Troas Paul received the vision of a Macedonian man calling him to cross into Macedonia (Acts 16:9–10). He later preached there, and Eutychus fell from an upper room during a lengthy gathering and was restored alive (Acts 20:6–12).
