Attalia
Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia
(Acts 14:25) — a city of Asia Minor, in Pamphylia, near Perga, not far from the Mediterranean Sea, on the river Cataractes [as given]. From here the apostles Paul and Barnabas sailed back to Antioch after their first journey to preach the Gospel. At present there is here the fortified place of Antalya, or Satalia, with 8,000 inhabitants.
