(destruction) — the name of two persons: a) (Num. 34:22) prince of the tribe of Dan, one of the ten persons chosen by Joshua for the division of the Promised Land under Moses; b) (1 Chron. 6:5; Ezra 7:4) son of Abishua, ancestor of Ezra and descendant of Aaron. It is not exactly known whether he was high priest or not. Josephus contradicts himself in the resolution of this question.
