(beloved) (2 Kgs 22:1) - wife of Amon and mother of King Josiah. She was the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath, a city of Judah (Josh 15:39). Since Josiah was distinguished for piety from childhood despite his father's impiety, the source supposes that Jedidah was a devout woman who greatly influenced her son's pious upbringing.
