(2) (2 Chron. 17:8) a Levite sent by Jehoshaphat, together with princes and priests, to teach the Book of the Law throughout Judah. (3) (Ezra 2:60) an ancestor of a family that returned with Zerubbabel but could not establish its Israelite genealogy; the parallel list in Nehemiah 7:62 preserves the same family group, while 1 Esdras has variant forms.
