Darda Darala

Archimandrite Nikifor’s Biblical Encyclopedia

(pearl of wisdom) (1 Kings 4:31) — a wise man, contemporary of Solomon. He is mentioned among four persons distinguished for their wisdom, who, however, were surpassed in it by Solomon (1 Kings 4:31). The first of these wise men was Ethan the Ezrahite, the second Heman, then Chalcol and Darda — sons of Mahol.
