Delaiah

(the Lord is deliverer) — the name of the following five persons: (1 Chron. 3:24) a) one of the seven sons of Elioenai, a descendant of David; b) (1 Chron. 24:18) name of the head of the 23rd of the 24 divisions into which the priests were divided by David; c) (Jer. 36:12–25) son of Shemaiah, of the nobles at the court of King Jehoiakim; d) (Ezra 2:60; Neh. 7:62) a person whose sons are listed among those who returned from captivity with Zerubbabel; e) (Neh. 6:10) son of Mehetabel and father of Shemaiah.
